USB / COM Port Setup

1. Check Hardware

Ensure your GPS is plugged in and recognized by your computer.

Important: Close any other software (like OpenCPN or GPSGate) that might be using the same COM port.

2. Select Baudrate

Install and open the plugin Ship Position. (Menu/Install a plugin/Ship position). Clic on "Show", and choose "Com".

In the plugin settings, choose the communication speed (Baudrate).

If your required baudrate is not listed, contact me here.

3. Initialize

Click on the button:

4. Select Device

A pop-up window will appear. Select your GPS device from the list.

Select COM Port
COM1 - Serial Port
COM3 - USB GPS Receiver
COM4 - Bluetooth Link

5. Final Connection

Press the "Connexion" button in the pop-up window.

6. Success!

You are now transmitting live data.

Switch back to Windy.com to see your vessel's track and live sensor data.
